Having a designated space in your home is an excellent way to maintain your energy's balance in between your regularly scheduled chakra healing sessions. Dedicating an entire room is ideal but if it's not possible to have a separate room, there are still many things you can do to create a temporary healing space in your home. Gather the basics: some of your favorite pillows or a comfy chair, candles, a himalayan salt lamp, a little aromatherapy, your favorite meditation music, and your all set!

You can draw from your own belief system or use traditional methods when clearing and cleansing your space.
Smudging is a traditional practice that utilizes the four elements. Bringing all of nature's elements into your healing space will enhance the room's energy.

How to Smudge a Room - Place a sage stick in the shell and light one end until a small flame ignites, then gently blow out the flame creating a smolder of smoke. Hold the shell in one hand and feather in the other, begin to walk the perimeter of your room, keeping close to the wall, and waft the smoke in an upwards motion towards the ceiling. Pay special attention to the corners of the room where energy has a habit of stagnating.
TIPS: You do not need a lot of smoke to clear a space. If you find that your sage stick keeps doubting, it maybe due to the dense energy in the room, needing clearing.
Selecting Meditation Music
It's a good idea to create a go-to playlist for your healing room. Choose meditation or instrumental music that is calming and non-distracting to your mental state of being. There are a wide variety of styles to choose from depending on your taste. Some examples include, nature sounds, native flute, deep meditation, angelic melodies, cathedral, healing frequencies, and chanting. You may want to avoid music with lyrics unless it's guided meditation practice.
Balance Your Chakras
Wearing gemstone bracelets is an easy and effective way for aiding and maintaining a balanced energy. Whether you are at home, work or at the mall shopping, you will be exposed to multiple energy fields within any given day so being mindful to incorporate natural ways to maintain your well-being energetically, is important. Choose to participate in healthy self care activities on a daily basis. Make it a morning ritual to have a glass of distilled water and freshly squeezed orange juice before drinking coffee, do a 5 minute basic yoga routine, and take a 20 minute walk in your neighbourhood. Eat mindfully throughout your day, drink herbal teas and choose one ingredient items over processed foods. In the evening, dim the lighting in your home, enjoy a lavender bath, and spend some time to read before bedtime. A healthy body will create a healthy mind and a healthy mind will ignite a life worth living.
The key ingredient to a meaningful purposeful life is self love. If you are experiencing mental and/or emotional unsettledness, you are limiting your full potential. The day you selflessly choose to make yourself number one in your life, is the day when your life can begin to evolve. Living a life with unsettledness is not necessary, choosing to love yourself purely, IS.
